Backspacer T-Shirt on sale at Target for Charity

Starting September 20th, Target will not only be selling the new CD, "Backspacer", but you can buy a Bacspacer T-Shirt as well. And the proceeds got to charity. here's the story...

Pearl Jam and Target have partnered with eco-friendly clothing designer, Loomstate, to create a limited-edition Pearl Jam Backspacer t-shirt to be sold in select Target stores beginning Sunday, September 20th.

All proceeds benefit Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity. The limited-edition shirts were made in the USA and are 100 % organic cotton. The front of the t-shirt features Backspacer artwork from renowned cartoonist Tom Tomorrow.

In addition to the t-shirt partnership, Pearl Jam will donate $1 per paid ticket from their two hometown shows to Feeding America affiliate, Food Lifeline. Target will match this donation.

Backspacer has leaked... It was a matter of time

Hey guys,

It seems that the hard work PJ has done to keep Backspacer under wraps till the 20th has ended. According to some unnamed sources, Backspacer has leaked. It was bound to happen but I have to say they did a pretty good job controling the release up til now.

I am not going to be a party to giving out information on how to get it. If you really want it, you do that part yourself. I will say that you should be very careful downloading any files because they could contain viruses.

Reminder: I will be doing a podcast dedicated to reviewing Backspacer on Sept. 20th hopefully it'll be up by that night. Anyone interested in participating, email me at mario@giventocast.com

UPDATE: It seems Pearl Jam is NOT on the list of bands that will be on webcast. Though it doesn't say they are not gonna play on the webcast. There is a slot for them to play so there's still a chance. Tune in to find out. My guess is that they are not gonna play.

I would like to take a moment to thank everyone that has subscribed to this podcast. As of today, Given To Cast has 100 subscribers. That's huge for me. I never thought anyone would be listening out there. I appreciate all of you taking the time to subscribe. I hope to continue what I am doing and hopefully improving as time goes on. (I need not worry cuz I know you guys will let me know if it starts going south.)
