Hey guys,
I can't believe 20 years have gone by since the first live performance of our favorite group. It amazes me that this band has been a part of my life for almost half of it. Their music has been the soundtrack to my life since I was 21 and all the memories that mean the most to me, have Pearl Jam songs attached to them. Like when I moved from my hometown for the first time and away from family and friends, "Rearviewmirror" plays in the background of my thoughts of driving outta Corpus Christi in my 1989 Ford Escort. When my daughter Leah was born and we wife and I see her for the first time, the lyric from "Wishlist" /I wish I was the verb "to trust" and never let you down/ comes to mind when I roll her down the hall to the nursery. And even in sad times like when a good friend of mine passed away earlier in the year, "The End" was playing in my head when I said goodbye to him.
I don't think these guys will ever know how much they have affected me. How much they were there for me during the best and worst of times. How they conforted me with their music when things were bad and got my blood racing when I saw them live.
So here's to you all: Stone, Mike, Jeff, Eddie, Matt, Dave K., Dave A., Jack and even Boom for all the music, the fun and all the years. Happy 20th Anniversary to best band in the world!!!! And MANY more....please!
