I'm having trouble uploading the podcast file to where I used to upload to. So I am uploading to a different site. This may affect iTunes subscribers right now til I get it fixed. In the meantime, you can download it directly from here. Just click the title of the Episode and you should be able to download it to your PC. Thanks.

Here's the information on the "Where in the 'world' is Mario? Contest. Here are the rules:

I will be in Orlando, FL at Walt DisneyWorld from July 2 to July 8 and will be wearing my "GIVEN TO CAST" T-Shirt. Like the one above. I have 4 colored shirts: Burnt Orange (UT colors), Dk. Brown, Tan, and light blue. I could be wearing anyone of these colors on anyone of the days I will be there. To make it a bit easier for you guys to find me, I will be posting which parks I will be in on each day. ( I will be adding that schedule later today)

Another week off....

Hey guys,

I am going to take this week off because my best friend is having his bachelor party (:wink: bingo and punch) in San Antonio this weekend and I'm leaving today. I didn't have enough time to get a show together for you so I'll take this week off too.

Here's the schedule for the next few weeks:

• There will be a show on June 16 (Epi. 15) and June 23 (Epi. 16)
• June 30 (Epi. 17) will probably be uploaded early due to vacation trip
• July 7 - I will not be doing a show that week due to still on vacation

Somewhere in these shows will be more Interviews with a fan segments, I hope to finally interview TEN - the Pearl Jam Tribute band and I hope to have our first Given To Cast Round Table. ( if you are interested in participating in the round table, email me at giventocast@grandecom.net ) I need some ladies to sign up so that we can have a woman's perspective.

On a related note, I mentioned that I will be on vacation with my family from June 28 - July 9. We are headed to my favorite place on earth, Disneyworld!!!! Yeah, I know I am a big kid but I just love going there. I'm mentioning this because I wanted to make a sort of contest out of this and involve the loyal listener at the same time . So here it goes:

We will be in one of the 4 parks at Disneyworld in Orlando, FL on July 2 -7, 2006 and I will give out a "Given to Cast" t-shirt to the first person to approach me and say I listen to the show. I will be giving out ONE shirt every day til we leave. I will be wearing the Given To Cast T-Shirt so that you can recognize me. Now, I know what you're saying, "This isn't fair to the rest of us that don't live or won't be at WDW at that time." To this I say, I'm sorry. I thought this would be cool because I have quite a few Florida listeners of the podcast and this would allow me to meet them face to face.

I wanted to get back to you all about the iTunes situations. I have received several emails from you all asking about what happened. I will do my best to explain to all of you on Friday's podcast. As of right now, if you are a iTunes subscriber, you should still get the updates as usual (We cross our fingers and toes on that one Friday). If you have not subscribed as of yet through iTunes and plan on doing so, here's what I recommend you do.

1. Open iTunes.
2. Go to Advanced, scroll down to Subscribe to podcast..., enter this feed address: http://feeds.feedburner.com/blogspot/YqHn

3. It should come up in your podcast directory. (NOTE: You still will not be able to search for it but you should be able to download it.

iTunes feed removed

I have received an email from iTunes stating that my feed had been removed from their directory. As of right now, they have not given me a reason why. I can assume someone reported something to them and they have felt the need to remove my podcast. I have a feeing I know who may have done this. I really feel sorry for this individual. He seems not to have anything better to do than to ruin other people's enjoyment.

Well, if this had happened to me a few years back, I may have gotten back at him by informing certain entities about him using their materials without their permission, but I won't do that. I will take the high road on this one and not do anything to him. I will say this. People like this guy are very sad in my opinion and I really do feel sorry for him. He must have such a bad life and has nothing positive and useful to give society that he has to ruin life for others.

Now I know my podcast isn't the best thing since sliced bread but it has been very fun and enjoyable doing. And you know what, I am not going to let this guy ruin it for me and you. I will continue to produce this podcast though you may need to use another aggrigator or just download it directly from this blog. I have sent out an email asking for an explanation to why I was taken off of iTunes and will try to re-instate the feed there but as for now, it would seem you will have go about getting it another way other than iTunes.

The Given To Cast T-Shirt

It has come to my attention that I may be in violation of copyright laws by using the words "PEARL JAM" on T-Shirts I have had made. (Thanks Gigi for you comments) So I have decided that I will no longer "sell" anything thing with band's name on it. As of today, I will just be giving them away as contest prizes or if you make a "donation" to the site of $21.00 or more you will receive a "thank you" gift of one of these shirts. I do not want anyone to think that i am trying to get rich or make a profit off of the band's name. That isn't why I made them. As I stated before, any profit was going to the up keep of the podcast.

I will removing the link for the shirts today and replacing it with a donation button. In the future, I will refrain from using the band's name, likeness or logos in any promotional materials for the podcast.

I hope this statement is the end of this discussion and I will not discuss this any further.

Copyright issues

Hey guys,

It has been brought to my attention by a person that had decided to leave a comment on my blog stating that I was selling Pearl Jam T-Shirts and that I was violating copyright laws by including the word Pearl Jam on the shirt and selling them for profit.

First of all, I am in no way using any copyrighted logos, artwork , etc. that Pearl Jam owns. Yes, the word Pearl Jam does appear on the shirt. But everything else on this t-shirt is of my creation and I can do what i wish with it. BTW, I am NOT trying to make money for myself with the sell of this shirt. I am raising funds to run this podcast. I have purchased headphone and mic, software (Mixcraft for podcast editing and record now for interviews). And let me tell you, I am still in the hole with this. Tons of profits, right?!

Second, this person also thanks me for playing Unemployable but that he hopes that Pearl Jam's lawyers don't come down on me for doing so because people are getting for free on the podcast.

This is just not a great position. What keeps people from recording songs off the radio and keeping them as their own. All I am doing is playing songs on my podcast and just like radio stations do. I have not played any leaked or illegally gotten songs. I subscribe to other podcasts that play songs, clips of audio from TV shows, use artwork from shows, etc. and they don't get letters from lawyers. They even have paying sponsors like Time-Warner.

In closing, I am trying very hard not to cuss or go off on this guy but I will say he is someone that doesn't know very much about these issues and has alot of time to leave a comment on my blog about this issue.

Full details of the first British date in six years revealed
Pearl Jam are to play their first UK show in six years next month.The band, whose self-titled new album is out on May 1, play a 'club' gig at the Astoria on April 20. Tickets go on sale on March 31 and are limited to two per person. For ticket availability go to NME.COM/Gigs.

New Pearl Jam logo

Hey guys,


I really like the new logo PJ is using on their Christmas Single and DEEP mag. You know the surf board one. I scanned and cleaned it up a bit and have added some effects to it. Any suggestions on another fill for the logo? Post comments here.

T-Shirt layouts for first batch are here!

I have designed the artwork for our first edition of the Given To Cast T-shirts. They will come in several colors. Here are what they look like:

All shirts will have BLACK print with WHITE outline and the shirt colors I will have IN STOCK
are: Burnt Orange ( UT orange), Lt. Brown, Olive, Blue. They will not,as of right now, come in grey (pictured). I will take a poll of second batch colors shirts as soon as some of these sell.

The sizes right now are: L, XL. I will be adding S, M and XXL ($1.00 extra) in next batch. These are 100% cotton and will shrink a bit.
Limited quantity and the price will be $15.00 + S/H($5.95).

All profits will go to production of GTC podcast, i.e. sound production, contest prizes etc..

Ten Club re-covers the album on their site...hhmmm???!!!!!

It seems as soon as the album cover's brown paper wrapping was removed revealing an avocado on the lower right corner. Today, the wrapping was re applied to the cover and it is back to last look of the corner ripped.

Now this could be one of two things.
1. Releasing the cover had been a mistake and they decided to re-cover it.
or
2. They are trying to make us think. By putting the avocado in the brown paper bag after cutting it in half, it will change when they remove it again. This avocado they way I posted it yesterday maynot be the real album cover art. We shall see!!!

Hey guys,

I just wanted to post some pictures I took at a recent Staind concert I went to. I had the opportunity to go backstage and meet the band. Though PJ is my favorite band, Staind is a band I like, too. Here are some pictures:

J Records website has announced that Pearl Jam will be the musical guest on Saturday Night Live Sat., April 15. They will be playing two songs and I am sure Worldwide Suicide will be one of them. The guest host has yet to be announced.
